Replace a Smart Device

Replace a Smart Device that is the Same Model

Should a smart device ever need replaced, if you are using the same model, you can simply change the serial number in the device settings on VIZpin.net and the new device will have all the same settings and access as the old one.

Instructions

  1. Login to VIZpin.net

  2. Click Smart Devices

  3. Click Edit on the smart device

  4. Edit the Serial Number

  5. Click Apply

  6. Update the smart device by refreshing the app and unlocking it with a valid key

 

Replace a Smart Device that is a Different Model

Should a smart device ever need replaced, and it is a different model, your Certified Partner or the Entegrity Smart Customer Care team will need to add the new device to your account. Once the device is on your account, you can simply edit any roles you have on VIZpin.net to include access to the new device and remove access to the old one. Once you save the role, all users with that role will be updated and once they open the VIZpin Smart app and it refreshes, their smartkey will work as usual.

Instructions

  1. Login to http://VIZpin.net

  2. Click Additional Actions

  3. Click Manage Roles

  4. Click Manage Smartphone Roles

  5. Select the Role you want to update and Click Edit Role

  6. Next to the new device, select the type of access this role should have (24x7 or you can set a Custom Schedule)

  7. Next to the old device, select None

  8. Click Save Role

  9. Users can simply Refresh their app and the smartkey will be able to unlock the new device
