Update Smart Lock Firmware with Android Device

Updating the firmware on a VIZpin Smart Lock can be done using the Device Firmware Update app. Follow the steps below:

1. Request the latest firmware ZIP file by submitting a support ticket at EntegritySmart.com/get-help

   1. Download the most recent firmware locally to your files on your Android Device

   2. The firmware should be left as a ZIP file and not extracted

2. Download the Device Firmware Update (developer: Nordic Semiconductor ASA) from the app store nRF Device Firmware Update - Apps on Google Play

3. Open Device Firmware Update app

4. On the smartlock, use a paper clip to press down in pinhole for 5 seconds to ready device (should beep when activated). The pinhole is located just above the handle on the inside of the door.

5. Tap on Select to select your firmware ZIP file

6. Open

   

   Navigate to the location on your phone that you saved the firmware ZIP file. Tap on it to select. You will be returned to the screen below showing your selected firmware file.

7. Now tap on the Select button to find the device. The device you are looking for will be named VIZpin_DFU. Tap on it to select it. Once again, you will return to the screen below showing your firmware file and the device that you’ve selected.

8. Once you’ve pointed to the firmware and selected the device to update, tap on Start to begin the firmware update..

    

9. You will see the progress in action and takes less than a minute to cycle through

10. Once completed, the Smart lock should beep again.

11. Wait 30 seconds and press Open on your VIZpin Smart App
