VIZpin vLib documentation

Overview

This document describes some principles of the purpose and use of the VIZpin Inc. VIZpin_lib library.

The VIZpin_lib (sometimes called vLib) library provides the message processing, advertising and beacon data to enable firmware to integrate with the VIZpin smartphone access control system without concern for the details below the level of BLE message flow and BLE advertising/beacons.

The intended audience for these notes are software developers working with a BLE stack to integrate VIZpin smartphone access control. Standard BLE terminology will be used, you can refer to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_Low_Energy and to https://www.bluetooth.com/specifications. Most of the work to be done to use the library is in the context of the GATT (Generic Attributes) standard as described in https://www.bluetooth.com/specifications/gatt/generic-attributes-overview.
