Wiring for Normally Closed Configuration

Entegrity Smart Door/Gate Controllers can be configured for a normally closed relay. This means that in most installations that require the normally closed function, like when using a mag-lock an external relay will not be required to properly control the locking device.

To change the relay mode the VIZpin controller:

** First login to your partner portal at VIZpin.net.

  1. Click the Smart Device button and then edit for the appropriate Smart Device.

  2. From the relay mode drop down menu- select the option for mag-lock normally closed and click apply.

  3. Apply these updated settings to the Controller by refreshing your VIZpin Smart app and unlocking the device.

  4. It will reset and display a pulsing red LED.

  5. Trigger the VIZpin controller to confirm the relay mode has been updated for normally closed.

NOTE: Only the controller's RED, BLACK, BLUE and YELLOW wires will be used for this type of installation

  1. Cut the leads from the controller's unused wires and cover the ends with electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing

  2. Connect the controller's RED and BLUE wires to the power supply positive 12VDC (+)

  3. Connect the controller's YELLOW wire to the maglock's positive (+)1

  4. Connect the controller's BLACK wire (-) and the maglock's negative (-) to the power supply GND (-)

  5. Turn on the power supply – the controller displays a pulsing red LED within a few seconds and the maglock engages

1Use a pigtail connector if supplied with the maglock

*VP1 must be mounted on the secure side of the door/gate
