Add or Edit a Smartphone Role
The first step to granting access is creating a role. Roles determine the access a user has—which devices they have smartkeys to and at what times their smartkeys are valid.
Each user can have as many roles as they need. However, a user cannot have two roles with access to the same device. When a role is edited, all users associated with that role will have their smartkeys updated automatically. Please note that if editing a role creates a conflict for any member of that role, the change will not be saved until you fix the conflict. Pay attention to the pop up for the specific conflict that needs rectified.
Whenever a new VIZpin Smart Device is added to your account a role with 24/7 access to it is automatically created.
