Add or Edit a Smartphone Role
The first step to granting access is creating a role. Roles determine the access a user has—which devices they have keys to and at what times their keys are valid.
Each user can only have one role, but a role can be assigned to an unlimited number of users. When the access provided by a role is edited, all users with that role have their access edited automatically. Whenever a new VIZpin Smart Device is added to your account a role with 24/7 access to it is automatically created.

To create a roll begin by logging into the account portal and navigate to the manage smartphone roles page by clicking additional actions-manage roles- manage smartphone roles.

Click Additional Actions
Click Manage Roles
Click Manage Smartphone Roles
Click Add New Role or select a role and click Edit
Enter a name for the role that will be used during the grant access process when you are selecting which role to assign to users. You must select the type of
Select the access that desired for each Smart Device associated with your account by choosing either noneNone, 24x7, or customCustom.
If none None is selected users with this role will not have any access to this Smart Device.
If 24x7 is selected users with this role will be able to trigger the Smart Device at all times- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If custom Custom is selected, you will need to designate the days and times that this role should have access.
Start by clicking the add days and times button, in the popup window, select the day and time to start as well as the end. Continue doing this as needed.
NOTE: You CAN can have schedules carry over from day to day. You CANNOT cannot have multiple start times on the same day
Click Save
