Updating firmware on your Lever Set running VPx
Lever sets running VPx firmware will have a seven digit serial number starting with 108XXXX. To update the firmware, a Super Admin or Admin on your account will need to have access in the VIZpin Smart app for the lever set that needs to be updated and they will need to complete the following steps.
Reach out to VIZpin support (Support@VIZpin.com) to obtain the latest firmware file. As of this writing the latest publicly available version is 2.6.
Save this firmware file somewhere that you can navigate to it on your phone.
Go to the location of the lever set that you need to update so you are within Bluetooth range. On the list of smartkeys in the VIZpin Smart, tap on the “+ info” link right under the name of the smartkey for that lever set.
You are now on the info page for that lever set. Please tap on the up arrow inside of the circle. This icon enables our over the air update screen and is only visible for Admins and Certified Partners.
The Device Firmware screen will pop up. Tap on the down arrow in the Download Firmware section. Please note, you will need to navigate to the file you saved in step 2 above. Once you’re pointing to the firmware file, tap on the up arrow to start the update process.
Allow the process to complete. It will typically take just a couple of minutes. At the end of the process, you should hear the lever set reboot and in the VIZpin Smart app you should see a Success message at the end of the log.
