Updating the firmware on a VIZpin Smart Lock can be done using the nRF Toolbox app. Follow the steps below:
Download the most recent firmware locally to your files on your iOS Device
Please contact support@vizpin.com to obtain latest Firmware ZIP file
Download the nRF Toolbox from the app store https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nrf-toolbox/id820906058
Open app and scroll down and select DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade)
Use paper click to press down in pinhole for 5 seconds to ready device (should beep when activated)
In app, you'll click "Connect" under Connect and update Bluetooth Device
It will scan available devices and you'll select "VIZpin_DFU"
Then you'll browse on your phone to find the file saved from step 1. Navigate to the ZIP file, not to the individual files within the zipped folder.
Then click Update
Once completed, the Smart Lock should beep again.
Wait 30 seconds and press Open on your VIZpin Smart App
